The construction of the Dowagiac Fire Station is a currently underway with a budget of $4.1 million. The new home for the Dowagiac Fire Department will be a 10,000 square foot facility with 5 fire truck bays, storage and decontamination for fire fighting gear, two story hose tower, and large meeting room. Amenities for staff will include an exercise room, day room, bunk house, and residential style kitchen.
