The Vicksburg Community Schools (VCS) 2020 Bond is a district-wide project that includes renovating the administration building, various school buildings and the high school stadium with new roofs, technology, furniture, HVAC systems, electrical services and athletic fields. As a CMA, Frederick Construction is managing the project, identifying needs and maximizing budget use.
In the summer of 2020, we completed roof replacements at Tobey Elementary and Vicksburg Middle School, tennis court repairs and resurfacing at Vicksburg Stadium, and the conversion of 5 classrooms into “model classrooms” at Vicksburg High School.
In 2024, we completed renovations to the Vicksburg Community Schools Elementary, Middle and High schools, including:
The rest of this project will be completed in phases throughout 2026 and will include additional roof replacements, interior flooring, bathroom renovations, curtain wall/window replacements, brick restoration, building automation/controls, electrical upgrades, lighting improvements, technology upgrades, student device replacements, classroom furniture replacement, track surface replacement and synthetic turf replacement at the High School Stadium.
The VCS 2020 Bond project is a significant investment in the future of Vicksburg Community Schools and will provide students and staff with a modern and up-to-date learning environment.
“Frederick Construction has been a key partner of Vicksburg Community Schools for over twenty years… Mike and his team’s careful management through every stage of our projects has resulted in the successful completion of work, consistently within budget and on time… The quality of day-to-day construction supervision, project administration, and job closeout has been excellent.”
